Ludwig's Neuschwanstein, a view of the castle from the Marienbrücke, Ludwig's childhood home Hohenschwangau Castle & the Buchenberg Alm! In the picturesque Alpine foothills of the Allgäu, Neuschwanstein Castle rises like a fairy tale made of stone. It majestically towers over green hills and captivates visitors from all over the world. Just 2.5 hours from Munich, a day trip awaits that uniquely combines history, romance, and nature. We'll start our experience in Hohenschwangau and take a carriage ride up to the castle – an atmospheric prelude that makes the magic of the royal landscape tangible. Once at the top, you'll visit the castle from the inside (fixed timeslot) before we continue on foot to the Marienbrücke. The path there is short, safe but steep, and rewards us with the most famous view of Neuschwanstein. Then a shuttle bus will take us comfortably back down to the valley. There you'll also visit Ludwig's nursery: Hohenschwangau Castle (also fixed timeslots). After visiting the castle, the tour takes us to the Buchenberg Alm – a place full of warmth, Bavarian delicacies, and a panorama that will lift your spirits. Here you can relax, let the impressions of the fairytale castle linger, and recharge for the return trip. With comfortable hotel pick-up in Munich and space for a maximum of 6 people, this day will be a personal, relaxed, and unforgettable experience. Depending on traffic, plan a full day for this tour, roughly from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
