Description
Embark on a full-day tour from Nice to Monaco and Eze. Visit the Monaco Casino with an audioguide, explore the old town and port, and enjoy a guided tour and cologne workshop in Eze-Village.
Start your day with a visit to the Monaco Casino with an audioguide. Admire the Casino de Monte-Carlo, which embodies the splendor of the Belle Époque.
Inside, the Casino is richly decorated. The visual universe is built around recurring themes, including women, nature, games, and emotions, each represented by frescoes, stained-glass windows, murals, and bas-reliefs.
Next, embark on a city tour of Monaco. Visit Monaco-ville, also known as the Rock, the Principality's historic birthplace. This picturesque, fortified district is one of eleven in the city-state, and today remains the nerve center of Monaco's political institutions.
See the Prince's Palace, the Government, the National Council, the Town Hall, the Communal Council, and the main courts. It is also a rich cultural center, home to many prestigious museums such as the famous Musée Océanographique, built into the cliffside and attracting thousands of visitors every year.
Continue to Place du Palais, atop the Rock, where Monaco's Palais Princier sits. This is the official residence of the Grimaldi family since 1297. Originally built in 1191 by the Republic of Genoa as a simple fortress, it was transformed over the centuries into a fortified palace, bastion of resistance, and princely residence.
The prestige of the place was further enhanced in the 20th century with the marriage of Prince Rainier III to the American actress Grace Kelly, symbolizing the alliance of Hollywood glamour and European aristocracy.
See the Caserne des Carabiniers du Prince, the history of which is inseparable from that of the Grimaldi dynasty. Since François Grimaldi entered the fortress in 1297, the need for an armed force to protect the sovereign and the territory has been obvious.
After your tour of Monaco, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Then, head to Eze, a medieval village perched on a rocky outcrop over 400 meters above sea level. Explore the village's winding cobbled streets, vaulted passageways, and blonde stone buildings with Roman tile roofs.
Visit the Castle of Èze, built in the 12th century, and take part in a guided tour and cologne workshop in Eze-Village. Begin your experience with a guided tour of the Factory-Museum. Led by expert perfumery guides, discover a superb collection of museum pieces and vintage machinery, and the history and secrets of perfumery in a lively, entertaining, and professional tour.
The tour concludes with the discovery of fragrances and their ingredients. Finally, it’s up to you to get creative. Discover the fresh, subtle fragrances of 10 of the Eaux de Cologne. Then, mix 3 to 5 Eaux de Cologne of your choice to obtain the formula that best matches your olfactory affinities.
